Hatha Yoga:
Strength in Stability

Focus is on the energetic systems of movement and breath from the Nath Yogin perspective (beyond body mechanics taught in contemporary styles). How one incorporates their limbs (5) arrangement in all shapes with right action to circulate the motivating force of life, Prana. The limb work, or peripheral body provides communication to the central system and visa versa. Principles of the bone, strength in stability, nervous system capacities, centralizing, marma, and others are woven in to provide the palate of desire for freedom to be tasted. The experience one is left with is an integration and meaning to pursue on own, as the traditional ways were guided.

This was a free talk in cooperation with the Ashland Food Co-op Wellness Wednesdays Community Education.
Sleeping well lays down the dis-eases of the day that contribute to physical and mental health disorders. Sleeping well is less about the amount of time, a dark and cold room, or an expensive platform to lie on…..it’s actually about how you breathe during the day (BIG!!!) and how your nervous system functions (autonomic balance, eye use, excitable/irritable mind, speaking) that has the greatest impact on your sleep. Blending science, personal and clinical experience Shawn will offer how you can effectively improve your sleep, through the breath, so you can enhance your healing & healthy capacities.

This was a free talk in cooperation with the Ashland Food Co-op Wellness Wednesdays Community Education.
Boost your Confidence on the Trails. I taught concepts related to mobility, movement and breathing to better condition yourself for your trail adventure. It’s more about how you prepare yourself, then what you do. Experience the incredible interplay between the power in your feet, ankles & shins. Strength in your bones and the efficiency of your breathing. Lots of great questions were offered up and demonstrations of what is important to be at your best on the trail.
