Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy is often sought to get you back to the physical capabilities you want without pain. Within the field of physical therapy there are many doorways to approach the best pain resolving solutions you desire. Pain relief is a great outcome to have, and I want to support you in discovering what is required AND to help you move beyond being pain free, to being your best. So there are options through further doorways beyond being pain free – ways to help you achieve your recreational and sport performance dreams – available to you.
In-person Physical Therapy sessions are available for anyone living or visiting Southern Oregon. We are located within 50 miles of most Southern Oregon and Northern California cities. If driving to and from a session is stressful in any way, online 1-on-1 sessions are a surprisingly effective way to address most people’s goals and outcomes they desire.
Many of my clients are discovering the empowering confidence they feel knowing how to help themselves unveil and use their body’s healing potential and furthering their possibilities. This is my passion – to give you access to your power to change and perform at your best. And the best results come from movement and breathing programs that are meaningful and tailored to your desires.
The hands-on methods I use are an incredible value for in-person sessions. It’s been a development and practice and clinical observation for over 28 years. Words can not describe the effective and efficient methods I use; only experience from what occurs with a non-force method to sense, engage and integrate the body’s self corrective activities that re-establish balance in the body. Hands-on assistance is not always required for you to heal; it’s there if needed to give better possibilities for you to explore and use the renewed mobility in your everyday life and program.
I always tell my clients – any external assistance (my skills, massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, counseling, etc.) is only as effective as you can use the new mobility, or space of greater options, in your life.
That’s why I always give a meaningful and tailored movement and breath program, or integrate into you existing one, for the best guidance.
The methods are based in a foundation of connective physical and physiological activities inter-related to balance tensions and pressures in your body’s dynamic movement patterns. There are no direct references (some have said it’s like craniosacral; it’s not) besides the words of the founder of classical osteopathy, Dr. Andrew Taylor Still. The approach is palpable, the experiences are profound change you can feel, and the results are life giving to help you move in a direction with greater potential for recovery, healing and beyond.
As a dedicated practitioner in the healing arts (Physical Therapy being one of those), in person movement and breath assessment, and hands-on methods address:
- the body’s multi-system functions – “what is affecting what.”
- mobility – connective tissue (fascia), joints, limbs and spinal function.
- movements you feel limited in, and exploring movements to uncover your potential.
- breathing patterns that may be limiting your healing, and those that can support your healing.
- avenues of resilience and adaptability that give you options and possibilities to achieve your best outcomes.
These skilled complementary interventions are clinically tested over 28 years. The healing art of physical therapy is to work with you and your entire body-mind functions to support the return of what you’ve lost touch with – your own healing and performance capacities.
